ABOLITIONIST EDUCATION COLLECTIVE

Radically transforming all learning spaces.

Abolitionist Education Collective (AEC) is a resource hub for educators to learn, collaborate, strategize, and deepen their abolitionist praxis. We work to cultivate lasting alternatives to punishment and control, radically transform all learning spaces, and abolish the school-prison nexus.

OUR VISION

Why Abolitionist Education?

Abolitionist education is a framework for and commitment to dismantling systems that replicate prisons, policing, and carceral logics that cause harm in the spaces we learn.

About AEC

Our Mission

Abolitionist Education Collective is a resource hub for educators to learn, collaborate, strategize, and deepen their abolitionist praxis. We work to cultivate lasting alternatives to punishment and control, radically transform all learning spaces, and abolish the school-prison nexus.

Our Theory of Change

We develop resources and facilitate learning spaces to identify, challenge, and transform practices that replicate prisons, policing, and carceral logics in the spaces we learn. We defend educators facing repression and retaliation. We invest in abolitionist education infrastructure. We support educators to organize within & beyond schools.
